YEAH WHY NOT.

Ill have to start at 5 grand and go from there. She is top quality merchandise though.

HHMM what will my reserve be?

Cant wait to see one of those going down the strip at \'Rotorstock\'... no, no, the CAR! not Big Stus Miss\'s

Big Stu

Not Sure if my miss\'s would fancy going up the strip.

But the car does look very cool. It will be great to have a new rotary that can take on the Evo\'s and Scoobies of this world.

As a few people in that thread have said, I think Mazda should look into an Elise / VX220 style car... if you can fit a K-series into a car like that it must be a no-brainer to get a Renesis in.

Now -that- would be a sports car and it would be competing with Radicals, never mind Evos.

Something like an MX5??

zevans

No... the MX5 has A/C and ICE and electric windows and other such fripperies!

That can all be left out. Seems the simple answer, strip the \'fripperies\' out, beef up the suspension, wheels, bodywork and brakes and drop a supercharged Renesis in.

I agree with the mx 5 idea, and as to the super rx8, i asked the dealer today when i picked up my RX (LOve the car after 1 day) he said that they are just leaveing ther options open and have no intention at this stage to make the car. but we will see

i was going to ask yesterday about supercharging, but coulent post, you can get a custom supercharger set up from about 4k all in (thats useing a rotrex) and i wanted to know if anyone was going down that path rarther than the old turbo (im not a fan) because supercharging is now becomeing better option(in my opinon) because of the recent develpments of rotrex (gearing motors) if anyone dose supercharge there 8 i would like to know.

The current projects *that I\'ve heard of) to boost 8\'s are all turbo applications.  I think the reason is that a blower requires a lot more engineering to make it happen than a turbo and is therefore a much more expensive route.

Well, I guess a turbo just needs plumbing in, which involves some messing about with relatively cheap vac lines and exhaust downpipes, and the power comes for free after that. Whereas the supercharger has to get drive from somewhere, and attaching that is probably the tricky bit.

That said, I can see a supercharger would suit the nature of the 8 better - no lag, and it\'s already quick enough at the top of a gear, just want a bit more go at the bottom.

The Greddy turbo kit seems (from conversations I\'ve had, I\'ve not driven one) to include a smallish turbo, so it feels more like a supercharged car anyway, not like a big-single RX7 conversion snap-your-neck at 5000 revs job.

The 8\'s a subtle stealth handling type car, bit like an Elise / Exige, and superchargers are popular on those (see also current Exige ltd ed.)

Hmmm... pretty cool! I\'ll wait and see what specs they post up for it, although I\'ll be sticking with the 7 myself.
Cheers
