Gona build mine in house, probably ship a front clip from Canada and get stuck in.
Need to find a donar vehical first so if anyone knows of a late TII with a blow engine, rusty body ect, going cheap please let me know! I can collect as I have a car transporter.

Has anyone seen a UK FC V8? Would be interesting to see one before I start collecting parts

t2rew

there was one round harlow. it went up for sale for about 1000 pound. kept eating driveshafts.

if you are thinking of putting a v8 into a fc make sure in will rev or you will need a higher ratio diff ,my fd with a rover 5.0 would do 3200 rpm@70mph which is a pain, this was with a 3.9 auto diff.most old generation v8s dont rev very well 5500-6000max,one answer is a 6speed box with .50-.62 overdrive this makes a massive difference, now with my ls1 fitted it does 1600rpm @70mph makes for very good fuel consumpsion (something most rotarys could only dream of !).hope this helps

mushi mushi stop dreamin dude and get it sorted...

t2rew ye i remember that red fc i was gonna buy that but spoke to the bloke and he said it was ok but needed loads of work as did not drive very well due to the steering being moved to get the motor in...

well the car has done 25 miles now still needs a few bits of fettling,on the inside, but drives great, and before amyone says anything its not nose heavy as the motor sits snug on the bulk head...shame the scoop had to be so big but there was no choice, and i quite like it now as it looks pretty  evil...i am changing the wheels to all black...whats ur comments and opinions on how i could improve the look of the car...oh and if any one fancys photoshopping  some nice deep dish rims on there please do so...oh please go on...cheers

Brett

Looks like a bit of a beast, I\'d be inclined to make another scoop, but flar out the bottom edges so it blends into the bonnet nicely. How does that scoop affect your vision?

rxv8

yes i think i might but  if it gets me on the road for the time being....grin...when i have some spare money i might buy a fibreglass one...cheers for the input

Brett

I think you will be spending all your spare money on rear tyres :) :D

bonnet bulge is hidious. it would look much nicer as a big chrome air filter. :)

rxv8

Quote from: mushi_mushiPretty cool site, Ive spent hours trying to read it all...............

Jump on ebay.com and check out some of the eldebrook crate small blocks..........400bhp in a crate for £2k....mmmmmmmmmmmm

add another grand at least to fit it with all the ancillaries etc!

i have over 400 bhp for less than that!  and a lot easier.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

antnicuk

well if the engine is in and driving, that is the main thing........  well done.

the bulge isnt too subtle though,  why dont you have some sort of scoop that directs air into the filter,  or a nice set of throttle bodies poking out would look good.

I\'m only going to allow you to have that scoop if you have a supercharger :D Please ensure it is fitted ASAP :rollin
