what to do hole in Exhaust mid bit

 drove to work today  with the car sounding very odd,got out  to look  and to my amazment  found the contence of what i think is the mid silencer  pushing its self out of a little hole its the same as this 1  
the little box has the hole in it  can you just get a pipe to fit it  and cut that bit out  or would a need a new 1,if so does it have to be a kps 1 ?

the  2nd bit in on that pic  has the hole on it,that is not  my Exhaust  just a pic of 1  that is of the same make.

can you put a circle around it ( this is like the missing sunglasses thread ! )

when i got a hole in my exhaust - i just welded a plate over it

Any welder should be able to put it right for about 25-30 quid.

oh welding it  would be good   i was just wondering if there was another bit i  could just put in, some kind of straight through pipe maby.
