Side exit exhaust????

I have been looking at picutres on the Amamiya website at there 2005 GT RX7 (the blue and yellow one). The exhaust on this is no longer at the rear as the old GT cars used to be, but instead it comes out in front of the rear wheel...... Awsome me thinks...... With this i took a wonder out to the drive to see where it would come out...... There\'s no bloody ground clearance under the car for an exhaust that size to exit in front of the rear wheel, well there is if it constantly drags along the ground!!!!! I was just hoping if anyone had any ideas how they do this or more to the point how i could do it and still use the car day to day??? Any views would be great
