Well, tonight I went about fitting the gearbox back in to my FD. And it\'s in!! Woohoo!!

I know many other people have done things like this before, but I am extremely chuffed, as it\'s the first time i\'ve done something like this. I\'m very pleased with myself! :D

...and here\'s me patting myself on the back for managing a spark-plug change!!!  Nice one Nik.

Got the clutch bolted to the flywheel now too! All the difficult stuff is now done! Just got to bolt stuff back on now!

Fingers crossed the clutch will release now! hehe

Well done Nik. I did this job about 2 years ago, in Winter in a small Garage. Its a good feeling when things start coming together again, eh?

Well....I have finally, after far too much time, finished putting my rex back together. Not forgetting a nice set of reburbished alloy wheels!

I turned the key last night, and she started straight away! Not only that, but i pressed the clutch pedal in, attempted to select first....and it slotted in straight away! Off I drove!

It\'s taken a bit longer than it should have done (But I let myself off, as I\'m always going to a full time job, had a over a weeks holiday, got a life, and doing decking in the back garden!). I\'m well chuffed - by first clutch I have replaced!  :D

so when is the full write up and pictures gonna be posted?....

nikp

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures :p (Except for the old worn out clutch!). I could do a write up though, if anyone thinks it\'s worth while!?

Martiny

Well done Nik. Enjoy the car now!
