Help...Single Turbo???

Hi,

I am looking to buy an RX-7.

I am looking to buy a new shape one, after a J reg.

Most of the ones I  have seen for sale have been Twin Turbo Models, I am after a Single Turbo Model.

Do these exist, or were they only avalible before a J reg??

Do the Japanese Spec and the UK Spec come with a Single Turbo??

I would appreciate any help!!!

All Rx-7s from J reg, known as 3rd Generation, came out of the factory as standard with twin small turbos (237hbp->280bhp).  Many have been modded after market to a larger single turbo to give more power and simplify things under the bonnet.  You should find singles for sale either in the UK or from one of the importers.

Oh right I see, that explains why i have seen more twin turbo ones for sale.

Do you know if the Single Turbo ones hard to get hold of??

The single turbo ones would have been modified, so your looking at a big BHP car. search the supporters, they might be able to find you a gen3 with single turbo conversion.
