Do they make much difference is speed of gera change on a strip.
I haven\'t been in a car with one for ages so can\'t remember whether useful or not?

if your saving a little time over many laps it can add up and also its a bit easier to find gears as usually you change the bushes too.

Sounds like an offer I can\'t refuse. I\'ll give you a bell later mate cheers.

Not sure what make it is but the one in Clive\'s yellow beast is awesome.  Instantly used to it, no play or stiffness, fingertip gearchanges!

I think it\'s something I\'ll be going for at some point in the not too distant future...

From memory Clive is using the B&M shifter.

what do these things look like and how do they work?

I\'ve got a B&M short shifter in my car. Does make for slighty quicker changes as its just a flick of the wrist. But untill the gearbox warms up nicely it can feel a bit industral like changing gear, but that could just be my car :rollin

They will make a small difference in speed, but wont stop the 2nd to 5th mishaps, for that you will need bracing or solid mounts to stop the box twisting.
