Engine power

Hi all

I am actively looking for an FD and I hope you guys can help me with one question - do the type R1 and R2 have any more power than the type S? I have found plenty of info on twin intercoolers, suspension, seats etc but I cannot find a definitive answer on the engine.

I am looking to spend no more than £7k on a fresh import - any recomendations on importers (apart from the sponsors)?

Hi, I would say that the for sale section on the club isn\'t a bad place to start. I would reconmend getting the car from somebody related to this club or fduk. They usually know the quirks of the rx7 and have kept on top of any problems. At the min 7 grand should give you a good base car if you want it with a good condition engine.

If you are able to get a car with a rebuild then that really does improve the reliability of the engine.
