I saw TREX\'s TII today, very nice too.  He has huge wheels on the back,  i didnt realize you could get 265\'s on the back of an FC.

This being the case,  could i fit a set FD wheels to an FC.  I dont mean the stock ones,  but the larger ones that most people seem to fit on the FD as they have around 265 on the back and 225 on the front??  There are quite a few second hand sets of FD wheels for sale but no large FC ones,  i suppose the only thing stopping them fitting would be the offset if different.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

I swapped the wheels from my FD to FC. They are 18 x 8 offset of 40( not 100% on offset though). Had to use some 5mm spacers to clear coils on the front, but I reckon 9\'s would fit under the rear. Especially with aftermarket coilovers.

with spacers to clear the fronts FD wheels will fit I have 17x8 fronts with 235s and 17x9 with 255s on the rears. the rears are fine as a straight swap. the fronts would need arch extensions really although it\'s right on the edge.

Loud? Hell yes! :D

Mine are as Tony said...

 Fronts -- 18 x 225 x 8 1/2 JJ  Offset - ET 32
 Rear ---- 18 x 265 x 8 1/2 JJ  Offset - ET 32

The fronts are on the Max in terms of size, they just almost about touch with full on maximum lock!

The rears may squeeze an 8 JJ with 275....... but thats max!!

Heres what they look like.... :p

Thats good to know, i\'m wheel hunting as well at the moment.

I was led to belive the stock Fd rims needed serious spacers to fit a T2.

Cool you live and learn.

Ok, I\'m just thinking ahead a bit, Before i took my Vert off the road i fitted my Fd wheels too it with some 6mm Halfords Spacers on the ft.

The problem is when i get to over 100mph on my private track ;) i\'m getting a vibration from the ft. Now when i fitted the wheels i noticed the spacers where one size fits all sort of thing and weren\'t the best fit, i also know the rims are good because i had no problem on the fd.

So my question is does anyone know where i can get some proper 114.3 offset and 5 or 6mm thick Spacers? I may also be intrested in getting some made that i can use the disk grub screw to secure.

Cheers

I had a similar problem with the FD wheels and the spacers from Halfrauds. I found it was down to the fact that there was one grub screw on each hub that wasn\'t quite flat so the spacers didn\'t sit true, 5 seconds with an angle grinder and then a spot of wet n dry and now it\'s fine!

ohhhh i like this thread

it looks like its cheaper to buy a set of FD wheels and tyres than to just buy a set of tyres !!
