display on dashboard

On the dashboard the little display that you see the miles you have done, is that suppose to be really dull i cannot see this at all i have to go right up close to see it properly.

No this is not normal.

Check down the left side behind the steering wheel, I think there is a dial that you adjust the brightness of the dash dials.

yeah i have turned it right up but it still is well dull i am thinking it may be a bulb or something ??
