yip i did the same endend up putting the old hose back on, i found that out the hard way, :D  that hose gets a lot of heat and mines was badly cracked so got another one from a breakers yard and covered it in foil, just an idea

Take the existing one out of the old pipe......

I did the same and filled my servo full off petrol !!!

Scoomer mate,

you\'ve got the same intercooler as me. How is it performing? I have some concerns over the performance of mine and I wouldn\'t mind a bit of feedback from someone else.

SCOOMER

Not keen on it really, cruising at 70mph on a sunny day i can see intake temps at 38oC and boosting can see temps fly up to 42-48oC :reallymad  Not the best £700 ive spent!!

Cheers scott

Oedipus Rex

well its performing better than mine then

gavin

where did you get the 9mm hoses that go from the filler cap to the ast water tank ? i used ones i got as a kit from ebay and they werent proper coolant hoses, when the get hot the go really soft and i sprung a leak at the ast, just something worth keeping an eye on, last thing you want is to loose a hose while out driving :) anyways its looking good,

SCOOMER

Oedipus Rex, what temp you getting?

Scott

Oedipus Rex

its very variable mate. At a cruise it seems to run about 42, even on an average temp day. The real problem though comes when it gets hot. Say I\'m sat in a jam for a while and I\'ll see figures go up to maybe 60c. In itself thats not too much of a problem, I expect it. The problem comes when I\'m free running again, it seems to have real problems cooling the air down again. I don;t think the problem is with the FMIC itself but rather with the poor design of the scoop. If you have a stock nose Pip places the scoop quite high so as to stop a lot of debris flying into the scoop. Unfortunately this also screws the amount of air getting into the scoop so once it gets real hot it finds it hard to cool the air down again. I reckon the figures I\'m getting are worse than I got from my stock cooler.

I\'m off to see Pip next monday and tell him that I\'m not happy with the performance of the cooler.

SCOOMER

60oC:eek:  not good temps!!!!! Let us know how you get on!

Gavin, the lines a proper coolent lines from motorscope in northallerton.

Cheers Scott

Just finished putting back together intercooler, scoop, pipes after spraying the intercooler scoop Blue (capri Blue). The sooner i get a front mount the better!:(  the damn engine bay looks too cluttered for my liking.
