Hi Guys
Just to mention, i am having an adapter plate made up basically the same as the Feed ones (picture included). I am having it made in billet ally so no problems there. If anyone wants one made at the same time, just let me know.
Thanks

Grizzly

If you don\'t mind me asking how much are you doing them for?

Also how do you sort out the problem with the Stud holes? is this still a die grinder job?

Hi Chris

The stud holes will just be enlarged so they line up with the FC Lower intake manifold.

Price is yet to be confirmed, but a rough price of £85 has been mentioned, which is a damn slight cheaper than the Feed ones, altough it does not contain the studs or wiring connector for FD throttle etc. But can as i am sure you know just as easliy be spliced in to the original loom.

And are they on the market yet? Very serious Q

Hi mate, i am not marketing them, just offering to have one made up when i get round to having mine made, as they will have the cnc machine all set up to do it.

Grizzly

When arew you thinking of doing it? Do you have to make a Batch?

Chris

Probably in the next couple of weeks. I dont have to get a batch but whilst i am having one done, i might as well get 2 or 3 or whatever whilst they are in the process.

cjr

sort me out one if you can. let me know a price and I can get the money over to Tim\'s no problem, and i know your in the area.

Cheers

why dont you get a S5 LIM and port it to match the S6 UIM?  :wave

Grizzly

Becouse that involves welding and it would look better and be done quicker with a custom made adapter.

I should know i have done the port matching and it was alot of messing about.

up&coming

we had did this b4 and no welding was needed just ported to LIM to the gasket off the S6 UIM and we had to open the holes alittle bit.. keeping it stock looking is always the better way the go but good luck 11% increase is still 11% of good power:wave

Grizzly

You open\'d the Lower to the Uper?

The Stock s5 lower has masive Primary runners compaired to the stock Fd uper, when i put the FD Gasket over the S5 lower there was about 1/4" step where the runners are bigger. I grant you the Secondarys are not too far off.

I use the S5 Gasket and exactly matched the both runners. and you are not left with much metal in the cut out between the Primary runners on the Fd Upper.

trust what im saying on this .. you have to use the S6 gasket to get your matches rite.. you want to port out the S5 LIM to the S6 UIM by useing the gasket of the S6.. iv been looking around and i hevent came accross the wright up on this but I know this works its been done already :wave

Grizzly

How do you explaine the S5 Primary runers being bigger than the S6?

I have put an S6 Gasket over a S5 lower today, they is a masive diffrence on the Primarys, unless youare placing the S6 gasket over the Lower and opening it out so there is no metal overlaping the gasket it can not be matched as the Primarys are Bigger.

This is what i\'m saying to get the Runners on the Lower and Uper exactly the same requires the use of a S5 gasket. Ok the Fd one may work but if you look at the size diffrence it will make you think.

On the Pic note the size of the Primary runners to the S6 upper and tell me that the lower can be reshaped to the same size without a step or welding?

hey the pic you posted looks like the one MikeL used in his wright up for this conversion heres the link to the page here
