Hi all im thinking of buying a pwr chargecooler and have a few questions to anyone who has one fitted on there motor.

1.Would you recommend it over a front mount intercooler.

2.Does it connect to the stock pipes or do i need to buy a hard pipe kit.

3.Is it easy to install.

Cheers Danny

Would I recommend a charge cooler over a fmic well....... having gone from a smic to a fmic to a charge cooler I would say yes!
When I fitted my fmic I found on sustained boooost I would see water temps of 110c+ This is not good for a rotary.
Now there are a few ways of overcomming this
1st is to mount the fmic in such a way so that allows a free air flow through to the rad [can be quite tricky].
2nd is to go V mount [I understand there are some good value options avialable now, 6 months ago only way to get one was to import from Japan] cant tell you to much about the results of this all I do know is you will most likely need a vented bonnet.
3rd is the jolly ol charge cooler. I have had mine on the car since last year and have to say allthough inlet temps with the CCon its own are slightly higher + 5-10c against a fmic my water temps have not seen 90+c:D

Im sure there are plenty of people on here can give you more information on the V mount.

Is it easy to install - yes 1/2day max if you prepare 1st, you will most likely need some fabricated pipes and brackets dependant on what else you have done in the engine bay.

Hope this helps.

If you can meet up with John then i highly recommend that you do. I hope you don\'t mind me saying this John, but when i was looking at having a c/c system you were more than helpful and i was happy to take the dive into this form of turbo cooling.
Something that you do get as a bonus is a free flow of your turbo air, less lag.
If you are looking to mod a lot then i would say do it. I have been more than happy with my bhp gains.:wave
