Whats the orange light just above the ignition barrel for ? Mine came on last night after about 30 mins driving fairly hard. I parked up and turned the engine off and it was still on after the key was out.

Unless I\'m hearing things I\'m sure I heard 1 beep while I was in second gear near the red line, is the car trying to tell me something ?

mine has that light, ive noticed it a few tiems, think its jsut a light so you know where the ignition is...and the beep, i get that when the doors are open...and also when i initially put key in ignition for a few seconds...

not sure if it has any other use :)

Ah right must just be a dodgy connection then coz it seems to come on when it feels like.

Yeah it was the same beep as the seatbelt, open door etc, except it happened just before the redline in second gear, I was paranoid it was trying warn me about something.

Don\'t know about the light but the beep sounds like the "change up" buzzer - you\'ll get it in any gear at about 7250rpm.

never knew the car made a beetping sound to tell you to shift up

ive got an adjustable boost meter on top of steering column and i know that beeps when boost is on, and this beep can be set to whatever you want...just another thought as to what it might be

That light is supposed to be on. Incase anyone is as blind as a bat they know where to put the key.
The buzzer you hear in normal it it comes on at about 7,500rpm telling you it\'s time to change gear.
Most single turbo owners like Babz audio will not hear it as the noise between their ported engine & their exhaust will drown it out.

I hadd to be naughty today and went out on a test drive witha customer without plates.

Sorry mate should have been with you Friday, after the old biddy charged me £17 for Parcelforce ! 4cm too long for Royail Mail apparently !
