Hi all

I am taking my 96 RB Bathurst to rotorstock and I may test it on the track (just for my self).  The car has some mods.  Bonnet changed, catalic converter removed, HKS exhaust, and Blitz BOV etc.  What tyres (17” low profile) should I buy with out going mad with the expense? How much ?

Those sizes are very close to the dunlop track day tyres, that lots on this forum are using and have countless race series run on them. I dont think the toyos are as good as the Dunlops as most race series are run on them by the pros, and only approx £20 difference. Plus on the day will be some special prices, which I will have knowledge of shortly. Also for Rotorstock some dunlop sports rd tyres, from approx £60.
Will have a more fuller spec of whats going to be on special for the day a little closer on.

Fair nuf ...eveyone has there favourite tyres... i have always rated toyos, and i have tried most tyres over the past few years as we are a large out let up Norf!;) ... and must say i am very very impressed by the R888\'s... but each to their own!

Saw first set of R888\'s I\'ve seen on a customers track toy this week at the workshop. Have to say they do look serious, I\'m not sure what they look like new or what state of wear these were but they looked VERY slick and very sticky. Max and Phil et al use the D01Js but I\'d be interested to see how they rate them...
