exhaust is prob ok if u start adding little bits then think about an apexi ecu once set up u can then add things as u go and make sure everything is covered re fuelling and timing..re worx can sell theses and then set them up on their rolling road..just noticed u live north of watford so guess u are limited for people to map a apexi without heading south

Pip at WGT is the closest to you for mapping. I got mine mapped there.

Please tell me you don\'t mean an actual "SuperChip" ?

interloper393

maybe lol.

Hey donato, would that garage you told me about map it for me? the one across fae you?

No mate, the closest is Pip in chester. Marc can do most things except mapping.

Whats a superchip? I have heard of them for piston engines, are they available for and FD? are they anygood? what are they? whats the meaning of life? ;)

From what i was told, any car with an ecu box can be chipped, whats its like for the rotary iv no idear lol.. all i know is it cuts down fuel consumption ( Bonus) and give you an extra 20% bhp  and 30% Torque... only costs about 150-200 notes going by my last 2 cars..

Sorry, friend, but anyone who says it cuts fuel consumption is talking xyz!

Dont you think Mazda know a thing or two about the Wankel engine? - and they would have setup the injection computer for good fuel cunsumption, with a margin of safety against detonation.

Im sure they do but im going by my past experiences, i had one fitted to ma 220 turbo coupe and a 200 sx turbo, both after the chip seem to add about 20 miles to 10 bucks of petrol, and i know there totallt different to the rx7 jus thought the same principles would apply :D

I would have my reservations about it. You would probably be better getting an Apexi Pfc and getting it mapped. This will be more in the region of 600-700 though...

You never answered the question about the meaning of life! ;)

Learn to love the life you have and enbrace every aspect of it!! Live it to the full and love it at its worst :wave

And own an rx7 :rollin

Personally I wouldn\'t fit a "Superchip" to my car if you paid me, Rx-7\'s need careful mapping etc

Was reading this earlier as well

You\'ve got to be kidding if you\'ve fit one on your Rx-7

It was me m8 that said about it, hes got a 92 rex and he was wondering what its like, i`ll let him go ahead we it and see what happens lol :p

Funny story here lol.. he spent about 400 quid on all underneath neon lights last week for the rex, because its so low we went down the local beach at night for a bit of a cruise... he went over the speed bump first and they all got ripped off lol then i ran over them all :rollin :rollin :rollin

I could not stop laughing hehe it was so funny lol

Looked well kewl tho :)

You\'ve got to be very dubious about any form of plug in box (including those extra 20 bhp resistors for sale on ebay).

I\'m new to the RX7, but I do own a 220 Turbo hatch runing 300 brake, and I know the MEMS management (OE) is "sealed" and beyond mapping by any chip or piggyback ECU.  Removing the boost limiter and upping boost to 12psi is about as much as you\'ll get before the OE pistons melt.  Thats why i\'ve spent a fortune on DTA stand alone management for the car.

A piggyback does seem to work on motors such as my diesel Golf, with no loss in fuel economy.  However I would only trust a mapable ECU for the Rex, especially if your talking additional mods.

just my input!
