It runs, but there is a problem from cold.

 Basically unless the engine is held at revs for a few minutes to warm it up it will die after start up. (revs to around 1500-2000rpm for a few seconds then slowly dies)
 I\'m assuming there is a cold start issue. (ie its not fueling correctly to compensate for the cold starting?)

 Just put new plugs etc on the engine and it runs smoothly now once warmed up.

(Just to fill you in on events prior to this:-  5 years ago the car was running, water pump failed and engine went the way of the wankel.  Rebuild engine [unknown where though] was mounted but all the work stopped at that point.  The car then sat for over 4 years in a semi-assembled state.   Had it altogether last week, then noticed the water pump was ****ing water out the front, they had not replaced the water pump from when it failed, nor had they put new plugs in either...anyway thats the story so far.)
