Turning on the stock Bose unit?!?!

OK so is there anything stopping me turning on the Bose standard system? The display shows the time but the on/off knob doesnt seem to do anything?

If it was locked out doesnt the display show \'ERR\'?

Help Im going insane trying to work out what is up with it

For completness on thread. Fixed it! Damn stereo also is wired thtough the cig lighter fuse - which had blown. So clock working but without cig fuse no power! Go figure
