So they came in late friday nite which is kool... Didnt think they were in til saturday but anyway... Bote are 92 Type Rs, The 1 im keepin for myself has a mazda speed bodykit mazda speed rims and a good few other bits suspension exhaust filters gauges and only has 54000 kms and a full servicce history.. The other 1 i bought was for myself also but found the other 1 a week later and thought it was better so bought it.. Anyway went down yesterday to c if they were alright and found out the standard lookin 1 has loads of stuff on it i was never told about....! R32 GTR alloys! HKS hyper sumthing suspension cusco strut braces everywhere apexi air filters blitz dump valve big brakes anda few other bits so well chuffed! Except for the fact the keys were still in it! Thought this was weirDcoz there supposed to take the keys out straight away and lock up the car... Looked at the back tyres and realised sum1 was doin rings in the car as there is red clay thats only in Dublin port all over the back tyres and a very weird angle!:reallymad  And the other 1 im gonna keep which thank god nothin was robbed out of it(Defi Gauges link meter etc) has the m-speed front bumber with the big spotlights! With the coilovers that are in it its about an inch away from the ground so while sum1 was takin it off the boat they obviosly didnt care that it was so low cos the 2 mounts for the bumber at both sides of the wheels are snapped and the bumper is hanging off... still not too serios tho... Hapy there al in 1 piece!

Anyway questions...

1: Was planning on using the 7 for evening time driving and weekend coz i do alot of miles during the day asi am a contract IT engineer and im gonna run it on AV Gas(118 Octane) as i can get it cheaper than super plus coz there is no tax on it here and was just wondering is it ok to use with Rotary engines? I know it really good for piston engines as it clean them and burns cooler and lasts longer but will it do any damage to the 7

2: Anythiing in part i shud check straight away?

3: Is it ok to use 10 - 60 full synth oil and how many litres does she take?

4: what coolant is the best 1?

And im sure theres more but cant think now... Il b doin most of the work on her myself as there is no1 really in Ireland that will touch them and its cheaper!! + i dont think id trust them even if there was!!

er oil most use 10:40 mineral oil although there are a couple of fully synth uns which are rotary friendly i without further info i wouldn\'t advise you use the stuff you mention.....
things to change on freshly imported cars. do spark plugs, fuel filter thingy & oil/filter as a minimum IMO & if i was you & you wana stay in one piece get shot of the cr4p jap rubber & get some nice new eagle F1\'s or similarly good black stuff on each corner.
Erm sure others will pipe up with other cunning plans as welll.....otherwise sounds like you will be having fun :cool
Enjoy mate

Tyres are brand new and are bridgestone potenzas re01:)  happy enuf... And i mite use thaat petrol and water it down a bit with normal petrol so the octane is not so high but do not really want to use crappy irish fuel! Mineral oil! Must go look for sum of this stuff now never heard of it b4!

Coolant, the green coolant, (cant remember the chemical name) is ok for rotary engines.

Do not use Blue, it attacks the water seals leading to premature rebuilds.

As has been said, use mineral oil (its cheaper than synthetic) or only use rotary approved synthetic, like royal purple, available from rotary tarts at the top of the web page.

As far as I\'m aware on coolant, I may be wrong (it wouldn;t be unusual) the colour doesn\'t mean anything, there are no standards for what chemical content is in what colour coolant, it is just a dye added by the coolant manafacturer.

The problem with coolant that attacks the water seals is Glycol I think. therefore check the chemical content of the coolant and make sure it is a non Glycol based coolant.

Anyone please feel free to correct me if I have come to the wrong conclusions here.

Volvo coolant  is green & suitable for aluminium engines, I\'ve always used it on my imps & most people on the forum have been using it for years including one volvo tech for over 20yrs. Not sure if its glycol based thou. comes like soup very gloopy before mixed

I think the problem is that Glycol attacks rubber over time, therefore making the O-Ring seal around the Rotor Housing degrade over time and fail.
