This is a nightmare to do unless you get underneath the car.

If this is a follow on from you flooding thread you dont have to remove the spark plugs to deflood the engine.

1) connect the car battery up to jumpleads to another motor (as this drains the battery very quickl)

2) remove the EGI fuse from the box next to the battery, i think its the 2nd one down.

3) Put your foot flat to the throttle and turn the engine over for about 20 secs at a time. The fuel should come out fo the exhaust.
Keep doing this until it stops.

4) replace the fuse and start her up.

This is how i cleared mine after flooding.

You can get them from the top, wont lie though it is a pain in the arse :) Try some different combo\'s of extender bars on your ratchet, think i had to use different sizes to get to all of the plugs.

Stu\'s suggestion sounds a lot simpler so id try that first ;)

Hope it helps. It is listed as an approach in the Flooded Sticky but i think its about half way down. I used this as i dont have any of the tools needed to take out sparkpugs on an FD.

Let us know how you get on??

:D

try a stubby ratchet from above.  I\'ve managed to get to the point now where I can remove the plugs from above without removing the elbow (on the car, not mine)!

I don\'t have a stubby, but find I can loosen them with a normal medium ratchet

How long does it usually blow white smelly smoke out the back lol iv left it ticking over the now to see if it clears? this a bad idear?

Smoke usually clears after a minute or so.

Take the car out for about 20 mins and let everything clear up and warm up before you turn her off again.

Its a lesson well learned about flooding. Glad i could help.

Umm a few worrys now m8, theres loads of white smoke from the exhaust, white smoke coming from the engine bay and my overflow tank is ****ing all my coolent out!.. im so sad whats gone wrong now??

Out my league now im afraid. Bound to have someone offer some advice in a few minutes but prop best to turn her off for the time being.

You can always deflood her again but if your fry something your knackered.

CALLING ROTARY EXPERTS!!!!!!!

Martiny

EeeK I am afraid that is very very bad news. Most likely there is failure of the Rotor housing water seal ( sometimes called the O rings).

This requires the engine to be stripped to replace/diagnose.

Interloper,

Where did you source the car from?? Any warranty or the like??
Hope this works out for you mate!!
