Guys,

Had the car almost 6 months now and since fri it has started giving me a bit of grief.

I am getting a knocking/clicking noise that I can feel through the steering column when turning left of jerking the wheel left. Have taken all the wheels off and narrowed it down to between the steering wheel and steering rack. Doesnt seem to occur when turning left.
Anyone know of this problem? Or how to fix it?

Also getting an odd prang noise (like a soft bonggg) when the car is warm, not loud from the rear left of the car. Heres the strange thing, its not when going over any particular bumps, it doesnt happen when travelling quickly or accelerating, only at 20-30 mph over some of the bumps. I have so far taken the wheels off as mentioned above, sprayed the bushes with WD40 but the noise is still there occasionally. Nothing was loose when I took the wheels off and shook rods, track ends etc etc but no joy.

Please can you help?

Havent done any large mileage this week so not sure why it started fri night but the change in weather might have some influence?

Besides that, took my dad out for the first time since I could use the 2nd turbo, the grin on his face was worth it !!!!

Cheers,
Gareth

The second noise seems to have gone now. Just the first one is still a problem.

Any advice on the first issue?

Guys,

Any advice would be most welcome. Has anyone taken apart the steering in a 3rd Gen Rx before ?!!?
