my mates auto fd3 is only boosting at 6psi and he says his first turbo is stronger than his second. its really slow and my girlfriends 2 litre nova runs rings round it. which isnt right lol.
ive told him it could be a solenoid problem ? what do you reckon ?

its over heating really badly too.

if its not solonoids, Id say it was vacum pipes, but if its over heating really badly, Id say he\'s probably buggered the engine, get it compression tested, and water pressure tested for starters, then start looking at the vacum pipes.

spoke to him today and he has said that he has let it boil over a few times !!!!! so i think the engine is probably shot now. was parked next to him the other day and on cool down his car started making a violent intermittent siphoning/ banging/ gargling noise. stopped after about 5 mins.

Sounds like rebuild time, and the turbo\'s dont sound to good either.

Why on earth has he allowed it to boil over a few times, it could cost him a lot more in the long run.

not sure. he asks for my advice then does the opposite i tell him. ive left him to it now. i shall pass on the message and tell him its rebuild time. thanks for the help
