i dont really brand new car but it feels like it!

Fitted this kit at the weekend, i have to say its a fantastic improvement on the Ohlins coilovers! The coilovers were very good on track however, any journeys on the roads were full of bangs and bumps, cd\'s jumping, dentist bills physotherapy etc... and worst of all the handling across a bumpy road was actually worse.

The beauty of this is with the adjustment you can get in the flex kit you can enjoy your cd on the road. It has actually improved the handling on the road as it absorbs the bumps you would normally \'skip\' over and with a few clicks you can stiffen the car right up for the track.

And the car is lower now too.

Highly recommended! :D

Just like to say thanks  to Clive/Shy auto for my new car! ;)

Will be fitting mine on Friday - can you tell me what setting you\'ve used, sounds like a good starting point.

John
I started with nothing and I have most of it left

Hi John,

I used the setting that Clive advised, turn the adjuster fully anticlockwise and then clockwise six clicks. Seems to be be perfect, i never had stock suspension on my car so i dont know what it will compare like to stock, thats assuming that its stock you have on at the mo...

Its pretty easy to fit following the instructions, took about 4-5 hours to fit, a lot more to test! ;)

I\'ve fiddled with mine a little since Clive fitted it and have found that for normal roads (i.e. pot-holes, speed bumps and small children) the setting as detailed in the manual (12 clicks back from hardest/4 from softest) works wonders.

If I remember what the manual says hardest is fully colckwise and softest is 16 clicks back from there.  You should be careful not to go past that point (softer/anticlockwise) as you can damage the damper.

Just a few clicks makes a huge difference too!

How easy is it to actually change the settings and what is involved?  (E.g. do you need to take the wheel off to change certain aspects?).

Donato

Chris,

Most of the set up is initial when you are fitting. The hard/soft is done with a small allan key from the top of each strut, its no more difficult than opening the boot and bonnet and setting as required...

Excellent, I always wondered.

I\'ve recently moved to lower profile tyres and the harshness has become that bit more apparent so I\'m looking into what I can do.

Well, consider yourselves all responsible!

I\'m getting mine fitted next Friday :)

Take a look at Shy Auto, link at the top.

Clive seems to have loads of happy customers of this piece of kit.
