servo unit faulty
have checked all other hoses and all are good
brakes are ap 4pots
rear calipers not seized either
any ideas please

rx jamie

got the same problem mate. brakes work **** hot but feel ****e

rx7veilside

jamie are u running standard brakes or uprated

Jin Kazama

It sounds like like u need a higher dot fluid eg. 5.1

rx7veilside

jim geff only recomends dot 3 and it isnt when u have been using brakes a lot it is the same whether brakes are warm or cold

Jin Kazama

As u have uprated your master cylinder, hoses,  checked the servos and bled the system you have eliminated everything else. the only thing i can see it being is the fluid compressing too much. perhaps there\'s moisture getting in somewhere.

are those calipers standard ones ? (if so they aren\'t made by AP) if they aren\'t your pedal could just be due to the increased amount of brake fluid that needs to be moved due to large pistons in the uprated brakes. The relationship between master cylinder area and slave cylinder(s) area is often overlooked with brake upgrades.

rx7veilside

they are replacement ap 4 pots not standard

rx jamie

only upgrade is red stuff pads on mine.

not got a good rep amongst the rotary folks & many would class that as a downgrade i\'d think about changing those pads.....
Think it was mainly relating to warping discs off the top of my head....But i know generally EBC are seen as the cheap versions on most car boards...http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm46052GB\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_12_8.gif\' border=0>
