Hi All

Started teh car as normal today and now the ABS light is stuck on and the ABS is constantly wining and whislting away , so i drove it and stopped the engine and its still going either with the ignition off and its now worrying me.  Went back 30 mins later and its still going

Is this bad :(  seems to be getting louder aswell:mad:

Don\'t know but each wheel has a plug in conector for each sensor
and if yuove been out driving recently you will have been out in a
LOT of salt. Check each conector ,and if these are ok clean each
wheel sensor very carefully with soft toothbrush (salt again) then
while each wheel is off the tothed wheel.Prob. removing the
bat will reset but if a fault is there it will return.
Hope this helps Paul..

ok cheers, where are the sensors too? im not a mechanical person so the idiots guide will do nicely :p

Got RAC coming soon so they can do the dirty work , but they will probally know nothing about the car.

You\'ll need to jack the car up, and they are behind each brake disk, prob best to start at the front N/S as this will pro b be the worst for contamination.Have you checked brake fluid level and all your fusses?

Sounds like the pumps on its way out to be honest. The sensors at fault shouldn\'t cause the system to squel, it will just make the light stay on indicating a fault, and obviously the ABS won\'t work either :( Still worth checking I guess as thinking about it the sensors could be indicating that\'s it locking up permanantly causing the ABS to go into overdrive.

Hope you get it sorted,

Paul

Right i called RAC out last night and the guy took the ABS cover off and wigled the second relay about and it stopped  and the light went off, he thinks that it may have just been loose or its on its way out,

he was more supprised the fact that in 2 days he had been to 2 rx7\'s yet in all his 10years working there he had never seen any before

so hopefully it may be resolved cheers to all of you , :wave
