40 + paint + postage would be VERY cheap I would think, even if you could find someone breaking a car!

£40 for the unpainted cover (from Mazda)  is what I\'ve been quoted too. Funny isn\'t it? One small plastic RX-7 part that doesn\'t cost about a million quid...

Mine\'s broken but still in place, I\'ve heard of them just flying off when travelling at speed if they\'re not 100% :( Roll on the summer so we don\'t have to use the headlights so often!

Ooh, on that thought, I might need to post a new thread about headlights :)

Cheers,
Alex

I have had two headlight covers get damaged in the past. I think the post 96 cars had a slightly different design. The problem seemed to be the flimsy plastic that Mazda made the vains on the underside from. I ended up reinforcing both side with good amounts of exopy resin, I am now ablr to get a good flush fit as well.

£40 from Mazda ! To be honest I thought it would be more, I guess you get used to being bent over as an rx7 owner! Mind you, it just encourages us to be more \'creative\'.

Yeah, that\'s the problem alright. Mine has broken underneath too but the rest is holding together ok for the mo :)

I might take it off and see if I can mend it, something to do on these dark cold nights eh ;)

Exactly! I was really suprised too. Makes £80 for the driver\'s door storage bin lid seem even more of a rip-off :(

Cheers,
Alex
