Right i got a question, obviously...

I need some sort of hump on my bonnet, as right in the middle is a big 14" air filter, i need more clearance for the height.

I was wondering if a turbo II bonnet has enough room because of the vent, as it stands i can\'t use the original bonnet with all the sound proofing ripped out because of the support bars.

what engine is it then.
i would have thought you could get clearance if you mounted it low enough in the car?
the t2 bonnet wont be any good as its vent is not in the middle and isnt that large anyway.

you can cut out the support bars in the middle of the bonnet as long as you use bonnet pins to keep the (now not so strong) thing in place.

its a Rover 3.5 V8, nothing too big, it is mounted as low as it can be in the car without causing problems.

I like the look of the TII bonnet, but it sounds like i will have to work around the problem

so im guessing that its a normal non turbo car. i understand that the diffs arnt that strong so it would be worth getting a t2 one of those.

if you got the engine in then im sure youll work out the bonnet prob.

when i fitted a small block to my vauxhall i had the same prob. i think they make a large diameter thin air filter that would have worked. my solution was no air filter :D

got any pics.?

I am sure i will find  way.
I will get some pics in a few weeks when its back from the workshop, there has been extensive work done just to get everything correct and to correct the initial conversion.

I hope to come to some meets when its finished, might turn a few heads :D
