Can you reset a power FC back to the standard Apexi base maps using the hand controller, and if so how?

Cheers
Lee

fro

yeah it\'s

[etc.] -> [All Data Init.]

\'restores all data to factory default settings\' according to the manual

Sure can mate :)

Go to \'etc\'

Go to last menu item \'All data init\'

left key for yes, click next, ignition off then on.

Et voila!

Resets everything, injectors, timing, the lot.

Agree with all the the above, but just as a word of warning you will have go through the learning process for idle again:(

Oh whats that?

I mainly just wanted to check this Power FC worked so was thinking just plug it in, reset the map as no-one knows what it is and seeing if it started up should do the trick as far as seeing if it works.

After full reset, if the PFC is fine, it\'ll be just like plugging in a never used new one.

Learning process for idle : It\'ll have to learn what are good settings for idle. I don\'t know what it\'ll make the engine do though, run low or high rpm\'s or maybe rough. I\'m sure someone can tell more about that :)

I just ran mine at idle for a minute or so, then with the A/C + headlights on for a minute. Haven\'t had any idle problems since :)

Not that I have an ECU to swap, or even have an FD yet, lol, but I just got to wonder about wether to have first start on new ECU with engine cold or warm.
Searched and came to this thread :

which ends with this post :
QuoteWas the engine warm the first time you started it after installing the PFC?? I\'ve heard that problems can occur with the idle if the system isn\'t started cold. Possibly to do with learning things in the right order kinda thing ???

Does anyone know for sure?

From the ones I\'ve fitted, be it hot or cold, they\'ve worked fine from scratch.

It\'ll constantly sort itself out at traffic lights etc anyway.
