Got a bit of a question for peeps here !

Ihave a cusco (according to pip at WGT) drift diff on my car, but i want this replacing with a standard one as its not too practical for the road ( especially since this is my first rear wheek drive car ).

NOw ive been offered to have it removbed and replaced with a standard diff free of charge by one of the sponsors if they can keep it, just wonderin exactly how much this is worth and would it be a better idea just to buy a standard diff and sell it privately !

Would anyone be interested and how much roughtly would i be lookin at ?? (swaps would also be good :) )

You need to know what it is really, else no-one is gonna want it.

Just saying you think its a Cusco diff isnt really enough.  Its probably worth a few hundred quid if its decent, its hard to say.

Hi Chris, I\'ve got a standard FD Diff and would be happy to do an exchange with yours plus a few quid (from me), if you can find out what it is you have. PM me with any info cheers.:D

Not too sure mate

when i was down at pips he thought it was a cusco diff and was  \' a bit lively \' as he put it :)

any way to find out ?

Cusco\'s are well known for making a horrible clunking noise when making making slow left or right hand turns nothing to worry about just dont sound nice.
Hope this helps.

Well its hard to know what it would be as you cant see it.  So you would have whatever make of diff it is, then a combo between 1, 1.5 and 2 way.  If its a mechanical diff the oil needs to be changed fairly regularly (about as often as you would change engine oil), and the oil should be non synthetic for most diffs too afaik.

Well it doesnt make any clickiin noises !!!

It makes the inside wheel scrabble for traction when turnin from stop (whichever way you are goin ) and gives little to no wheelspin when settin off in a strait like floored !!!! it makes both wheels grip real well!!!!

Seems to want to slide goin round right hand bends ! (kick back end out )

I\'d really like to know what the spec of the diff is b4 comitting to anything, if possible. My car should be having the new turbo fitted in about 2 weeks so I\'ll get my diff out then hopefully and we can do an exchange. Did pip say anything about it other than it\'s a cusco??
