I have a bit of a problem. I flooded my FD 2 weeks ago and i am having trouble getting her started.

Is my own fault for starting her and only letting her run for about a minute before locking her up again.

I have tried a push start but there is only me and the miss\'s. I can really push her that fast on my own. I have also looked at the flooded procedure but i am rubbish with engines and am struggling with the spark plugs.

Can anyone get over to my place to give me a hand?? I am rather desperate, i could even chuck in a Turbo timer to anyone that can help.

If someone can PM me that would be great. Please guys i am a bit desperate.

Cheers

Stu

could you get someone to tow start u?

have you tried taking the plugs out ? they are meant to be easier to get to from underneath. I can come out and give you a hand but I won\'t have time till next weekend as we\'re rebuilding my mates rally car at the mo.

I cant say i really fancy tow starting the car, i think my miss\'s would absolutely **** herself as well.

I will hopefully take up Mike on his offer of next weekend, if he doesnt mind.

And the annoying thing is it is my own fault. 2 weeks ago on a sat the miss\'s needed to come and pick me up from Rugby so isaid bring the FD. She turns up in her car and says that she cant get the Rex started. So on Sunday morning i have a go and she starts straight away. BUT instead of taking her out for a 15 min blast to get past the cold start procedure and warm her up, i turn her off after less than a minute.

What a Pain.

Just been reading a thread that says that removing the sparkplugs is not completly necessary.

It siad to remove the EGI fuse and turn the engine over on WOT  and repeat until not unburnt fuel comes out of the exhaust?

Is this right? and i guess i woud need jump leads to keep the power up?
