how do u drain the water away,iv got the gutter things that go on the inside (underneath),but i dont really want the water 2 go all over the engine,do u have to fix like a vacume pipe size pipe to where the hole r,and place them away from the engine?
has any 1 got any pics of this done,

If you get a REAL one this is all sorted.
If you get a **** copy, then you get water in your engine bay.

The ducting is very well designed and is high quality.

Original is sometimes worth the money.

asp

****copy?
it has a tray on there already, which flows the water away,
but i wanted a carbon tray,so i bought a carbon 1 but it has a hole in each gill,

The real hood has ducting from the front scoop that exits at the rear. as well as trays for the water removal.

Most copies dont have the air ducting from the front even.

Does yours have this ?

asp

y r u talkin bout the REAL HOOD all the time,

y ask me bout the air scoop,i only wanted to no how to sort the water thing out,Rotary Extreme hood

Sorry dude,
I heard that the copies were different
just trying to check out which one you have.

If it is set up like in this picture, and you dont want the water draining from the small holes into the bay.

Then you will need to run a small hose to wherever you want it to drain. I dont think you need vacuum size, maybe 1/2inch would be enough

you should be able to use a garden connections from the hardware store.and glue that to the covers.
Then just shove the pipe on and use t-pieces to join the pipes and then route them under the bonnet.

the problem is where to drain. and the system has to be removable.

I havnt seen anyone do it.
But I have thought about it too on my amemiya one.

asp

thats almost the same as mine, the black bits on the pic on mine where just black fiber glass,n the bits i got in carbon r different(as in the drainage) differs a bit,

jus got the gutters out for a look.the holes r on the out side,so the water looks like it will miss the engine, lookin at it now the holes seam 2 be placed so the water isnt goin to nacker any thing up,
the holes seam a bit bigger than i can remember them bein,
