General Technical / Bonnet won\'t open

I was thinking about that when I wrote the last post and couldnt remember, had a look at the car and I think I got down to where the release catch, unbolted it or something so I could get to the cable and pulled on the cable itself with some pliers till the bonnet popped

I have a spare cable kit if you find thats your problem :D

I melted through mine just enough to unwindde the cable so I couldnt get enough force to pull the latch so when you get it open just check the cable in case thats it

Quote from: Andy J Conroy;553437Tell me about in when i went down to re-worx a month or so ago and jeff made me sign the dreaded form i thought it was bound to end up in diaster.... What port do you have on yours mate... ive got a t51r as well running 1 bar....

It\'s an extended street port, the same as what Geff ran on Stripy aparentley, would have had a bridge but Chris talked me out of it due to noise regs at tracks but wish I had gone for it now.

Whats yours running at 1bar?

Its going to Geff on Thursday to have the new ignition system wired in (if the plug leads turn up on time).

It was 499.8fwhp at 1.4bar but its now got a proper T51 manifold now rather than the ebay one I modded and a 13bre intake manifold and the crane cams ignition setup so we will see how it does.

Hopefull it will hold together as I\'ve got the Rockingham track day on saturday. I hate the tuning especially when they make you sign the dreaded form :eek:

Quote from: BlitzBoy;553039Darren have you had the courag eto take it to 8000rpm on 1,1 Bar yet ? lol. Ben when u getting that beast on the Dyno sounds like it will give out good numbers?

3rd generation RX-7's / help
October 28, 2008, 12:24:25 PM
Sounds like mine when I blew a tip. They do tend to go anywhere from 40k onwards sometimes before if your unlucky or running crazy boost:burnout. I hope for your sake it\'s not!!!!!! Just check all the pipes you can (easier said than done on twins).

There were a couple of 20b`s on ebay in the US going for around £1500 not that long ago. Cant remember the exact quote I got for shipping but I think it was in the region of £300 on top from one guy, that was minus the box though.

3rd generation RX-7's / exhaust, loud, police?
September 03, 2008, 08:18:39 PM
I thought there was no limit for the road as such but technically anything too much louder than standard can be an MOT fail (happened to me once dont use that station anymore)

I would buy it you can sort the doors out later.

You can piggy back an F-Con pro and PFC

Events Calendar / Rotorstock 5 Tickets Now On Sale!
August 04, 2008, 03:28:37 PM
Quote from: fil_auto;521794Lisa - I\'ve purchased 2 tickets for the Sunday direct from Santapod shop ( as not a full member here, so don\'t benefit on the discount front - my fault! )

Anyways - wondered if I\'d be able to pickup a stand pass from somewhere on Sunday morning when I get there ??

Many thanks Phil.

I was wondering this aswell as I heard MRC and FDUK are sharing an area so how do we get hold of a stand pass?

Thanks,

Ben
