FDAsh

:( Thrown a seal maybe. Does it idle at all?

Nik da Greek

3000 rpm, erm, doesnt sound a whole lot? Am I missing something there, or was that a typo?

Timmy

3000rpm accelarting + cold night = boost spike could well have broke a tip but could also be a many number of things. Need more details really.

g11ary

could be a few things, check the hose is not split off come off the map sensor, small black box on fire wall passenger side just to right of manifold.

cowboy

well when it standing still it it cant keepin normal idle rpm.hope its not a tip its only does 43.000 miles well look after only a weekend car ill have to look around it to day when its light was dark when i got it last nite
thanks for all repleys

benRX7

Sounds like mine when I blew a tip. They do tend to go anywhere from 40k onwards sometimes before if your unlucky or running crazy boost:burnout. I hope for your sake it\'s not!!!!!! Just check all the pipes you can (easier said than done on twins).

nikp

Yes it sounds like a tip, but it also sounds like the same symptoms of when the pipe comes off the MAP sensor, so as Gary says, check that first.

cowboy

so if it a tip gone is that an rebuild then?

Warthog

Quote from: cowboy;548925so if it a tip gone is that an rebuild then?

Yes ...but check the map sensor pipe it takes seconds to fix.
I\'M ALWAYS IN THE SH*T IT\'S JUST THE DEPTH THAT MAY VARY.
