Hi people,

Recently had to bite the bullet, and very reluctantly part ways with my rx7.

Just wanted to say thanks really to anyone who has ever replied/helped with the odd tech question and its been a great forum to use/browse over the years.

Thanks again ;)

be safe.....ish ;)

Check the vacuum hose going to the MAP boost sensor (top of engine, mounted high on the firewall). Check it hasnt come off the back of the plenum. this coming off would cause a huge over fuel. hence the flood/smoke.

when u replaced the hoses, did u replace the check valves?

i had this problem. found it to be the check valve between the pressure chamber and the Y-pipe above the turbos.

General Technical / strange boost problem

i had this problem. pulls a treat up to 4.5k, change up, WOT, car goes to 0psi and when you come off the throttle u get a loud "BAAWWWW" pressure drop kinda noise coming back through the induction system.

i changed the check valve between pressure chamber and the Y-pipe. problem solved.

i\'ve heard this can also be caused by a leaky vacuum chamber. when u re-apply the throttle after "the boing" noise, does the car boost properly again? and does your car sometimes feel hesitant when the second turbo should kick in at 4.5k ish?

Hi guys, curious to know what people are paying insurance wise..

i\'m 26, adrian flux have up\'d mine to £850 a year, with a handful of mods declared (filters, alloys, exhaust), 4000miles limited mileage.

am i getting raped? or is this about normal. I had hoped my premium would have dropped now i\'m not in the 17-25 age bracket...
