Hi All,

Has anyone got the base map .dat file supplied with a pfc that can be emailed to me? I\'ve had a bit of a shunt with my laptop and no longer have it.

PFC I have is

Forgot to add the following:

- Turbo\'s recently off and swapped for a different set
- all new studs and nuts (OE ones) fitted
- all new gaskets from manifold to last joint in exhaust fitted (OE where applicable)
- Airpump removed, read a few posts that might suggest the blanking plates leaking but 99% certain they\'re all sealed properly.
- All nuts torqued correctly and paint marked, checked them the other day and they\'ve not moved.
- Can\'t feel any gas escaping when the engine is runnning and having a good feel around (till it gets too hot)
- Noise tends to disppear/get drowned out when revving while stationary

Bobster- i\'m intrigued by your comments about your turbo pack fouling the hks downpipe.. I\'ve just put my downpipe on and i\'m not convinced that it\'s 100% ok fitmentwise.

The high flow turbo\'s... how do you ID them? The set i\'ve got aren\'t the originals from the car but look physically the same, i\'m just not convinced that the downpipe once bolted up isn\'t catching on either compressor housing (difficult to get in to see it), or where the primary turbo casting meets the main core between the two.

Symptoms that make me think something is wrong is a strong exhaust gas smell in the engine bay and a slight (and I do mean very, very slight) ticking noise, although I thought maybe that might be just down to the hks downpipe being very different to the standard one.

Caliper seals for a 200sx by any chance?? I remember. So you\'ve made the switch to rotary too, good choice!

I took a brave pill and have reused the insulators as they seemed to be in an ok condition, should have replaced them really but it was going to be a pain to get hold of them. Seem ok so far!

I looked at doing this same job and priced it up with genuine o rings.... can\'t remember exactly how much it was but it was alot, lots and lots even.

I ended up raiding a bosch o ring box from a motor factors which was much cheaper.

Boost leak perhaps. Check the intake system for any loose joints. The blue smoke will be excess fuel.

M4drx- email sent..........

Cheers for the pointer Leedslad- I downloaded the service pdf\'s (not the manuals) and had a good read.
Its a pressure regulator for the hot start system, nothing to do with the ACV. It helps prevent hot start vapour locks and stabilise idle speeds on hot starts also.

M4drx- will let you know about the solenoid tomorrow as I may have secured a whole rats nest and solenoids (just incase I brake anymore....)

Item J and item A in the index- it\'s pretty much exactly the same diagram as the one in the link.

I\'m in the process of doing the rats nest vac hose refurb job and as I expected I\'ve managed to brake two different solenoid valves nipples.

The ones I\'ve snapped off are item J and item A in the image at the link below (shamelessly taken from rx7club.com).

I\'m rebuilding with stock twin turbo\'s and a PFC, I\'ve resigned to the fact that I have to at least replace item J but being as I\'m deleting the airpump and ACV I\'m thinking that Item A can just be removed?

The index just says A is a solenoid valve: pressure regulator but doesn\'t state for what. I\'m assuming it is for the ACV which I\'m removing.

Any info would help.

Cheers.

Link removed as this would constitute forum spamming.

Another one for the thumbs up for Hurley- did a rear wheel bearing for me a short notice with no grumbles at all.
