RX-8's / RX8 Wide Arch Kits
November 22, 2011, 10:52:40 PM
Quote from: B.Martin;799931You might want to do some more research on mike\'s kit, i know the one on his RX-7 has found its way into production. Good chance someone will have copied it ;)

Mike RX7 kit was never a one off, its a blister kit from BN Sports and there are loads of ebay companies who have copied it since lad...

The reason I love the RX8 version is the step out from the rear lights which immediately shows off the width of the car from the rear !

Cars for Sale / For Sale 20b FD

Why not offer a complete 3rotor conversion for sale ? Surely that would fund a nice chunk of your quad rotor project ? With half the warrenty gone from the engine however you will loose a nice chunk of your investment but still gain enough from the sale if you get me...

3rd generation RX-7's / Irish Rotary Mapping Session

Well lads, the engine\'s didn\'t pop while on the dyno, the red one drop a tip before leaving Cork for Kerry unaware to the owner as it just went on and off trailors for the past 2yrs, the white fc wouldn\'t start and Brendan hoped it was something small but no such luck. Thematt black one was imported straight from japan and still had a TT map on her, someone must have just slapped on a single to sell her... What was wrong her was the coilpacks, only 2 plugs were igniting fuel and the others were dumping unburnt fuel into the turbo so I was told hence why she started to glow red very quick, this car is a bit of a mystery as it also has 3 screamer pipes ??? And when he first got it the fans for the rad were wired opposite so instead of sucking cold air through the rad it was pushing hot air from the bay through the rad to the intercooler ??? Also the injectors issue was simple, they were all on standard injectors LoL

All in all it was a long three days however due to the hospitality of WCP, Pip and his son Adam\'s knowledge of rotaries they flew by. I would just like to give a big shout out and thank you to John, Mark, Pip, Adam and of course Dave from MIJ for making the effort with this event. For further information on these cars please log onto //www.irishrotary.com and future mapping sessions check out //www.afterdarkcruisers.com.

Well lads I finally settled on a turbo for the RX7, I managed to get my hands on an Apexi RX6 Turbo Kit from Japanese Performance here in Ireland. What I want to know is what other parts will I need to support this kit ?

What I have at the moment is as follows :

- Apexi IHI RX6 P28 turbo, the P28 is the biggest of the RX6\'s
- Apexi stainless manifold modified for HKS GT Wastegate
- HKS GT v-band wastegate with custom screamer pipe
- Stainless downpipe
- Apexi Power FC & Commander
- Apexi Boost Controller Kit
- Greddy Compression Tube
- Greddy FMIC + Hard Piping
- Kakimoto Exhaust

Wondering what injectors to run primaries and secondaries, fuel rail, fuel pump, rad, water injection etc ?

Thanks for any advice,
Kruizer

I\'m having the car mapped using an apexi power fc, have a greddy FMIC with hard piping, greddy compression tube, kakimoto exhaust & filters for the turbo\'s.

Do I need anything else to get the most out of what I have already ie injectors, fuel pump etc ???
