Sorry for the thread hijack, but what is the difference between normal Powerflex and the motorsport ones?

Cant quite make it out but is the strut top allen key slotted (at the very tip) at a glance looks like my Bora dailys suspension which needed an allen key sitting in the top (with a breaker bar extention...) holding the strut still while a ring spanner undid the strut top nut
 
Failing that - is it the strut itself or the entire unit thats turning? dont know how far you\'ve got with removal but generally best to crack these nuts off while still on ground and suspension fully bolted up etc :/

The very top nut is the dampness adjuster I think, that just turns on it\'s own between soft setting and hard setting. It isn\'t the entire unit moving no, if you look under the turret as you\'re turned the bolt/plaster \'thing\' the strut going inside the dampner is turning, but everything else stays still.

Evening all, hopefully someone can help me. I\'m trying to remove my Tein HA\'s from my FD, it ain\'t happening though. See below, everything else is undone! Basically I can\'t pull the strut through the top of the turret and out.

This black rubber \'thing\' won\'t budge, if you try to undone the nut at the top of the strut the whole thing just keeps turning



It\'s probably something really obvious but if someone could point it out it\'d help me alot :cheers

Sure its not just lift off over steer? If you lift off the throttle weight transferes to the front making the back end light causing it to over steer.

That was my thoughts, just a case of enthusiastic driving in a RWD car?

Sorry, is it just me that finds that response pretty aweful? Just a total sales pitch rather than fixing something that\'s potentially fine and already working in a car that you know works fine IYSWIM.

Seems crazy to me, if you happy with the car as it is, why you have to go and change everything again :?

What are you intending to use the car for?

Track, maybe try my hand at sprinting or some form of amatuer race series.

Now, I don\'t know if the Superstreets are going to be enough for what use I have planned really. Need to do some research, of course I don\'t necessarily need Tein as I\'m not a total Jap make fanboy :Tongue1

You will just hit the rev limiter at whatever rpm it\'s set to as standard.

id say use one cooler on the passenger side and use the space on the drivers side for some cool air ducting mods

It\'s a good job the one on the passenger side doesn\'t need welding then ain\'t it

Then why are you worried about you oil temps? Even with no coolers they\'ll stay at ambient (in the containers still) :p

But seriosuly, you can get oil therostats so the coolers only have oil going through them when the oil\'s up to temp (but I assume you already know this!)

Yeah that was my train of throught to be honest, but I don\'t want to run 2 coolers, if I can get away with 1. It just seems to complicate things to me...

Why don\'t you use a thermostat?

I\'m not using anything at the moment, there\'s no engine!
