3rd generation RX-7's / Bit more on the project (FD)

Watch the rear bumper with the HKS "Silent" Power, mine decided to eat a hole into the lower trim and some of the bumper!

Heard on the grapevine that the rear AP racing brake set up might be made into a kit for next year. Can anyone confirm this?

Cheers for the responses, the Kermit II looks awesome. That is the kind of setup that I am looking for.

Sorry to thread jack, but I have also been thinking about this recently. I have the AP Racing 6 pot front kit and was wondering if this could also be used for the rears? I can\'t find an AP rear kit any where, however I was hoping to put APs on the rear for symmetry. Damn OCD...

Got some old Koni yellows sitting in my garage doing nowt. You can have them if you want to collect them.

Cool, thanks for the replies. I have spoken to Jason recently, I didn\'t realise that they did body work as well.

3rd generation RX-7's / Props to BlitzBoy.
May 11, 2013, 02:18:56 PM
Just wanted to say thanks to Mark (forum name: BlitzBoy) for the fine job he did mapping my car. He took an evening out of his own time to smooth out a previous dyno based map which I was not 100% happy with.
He did this for free and was very helpful and informative, its nice when someone takes pride in their work (I find that not everyone does). Thanks again mate, she runs great. Ivan

Asking those who have removed their rear wiper and water jet (or even those who haven\'t). Does anyone know of any good body work shops (hopefully not to far from my location)?
I am looking to remove my rear wiper and water jet plus get a few scrapes cleaned up, any help is appreciated.

3rd generation RX-7's / UK FD Prices
July 17, 2012, 06:44:47 PM
This is very depressing news... I\'m afraid that I have done far too much to the car to consider selling it for peanuts. The other suggestion from Chris was parting it out which would break my heart (I know its "just a car"). Can anyone foresee a time when the value might return?

3rd generation RX-7's / UK FD Prices
July 17, 2012, 01:23:46 PM
Is it me or has the price for FDs in the UK really dropped as of late? I know that the economic crisis hasn\'t helped much, however I am still shocked as to how cheap these cars are going for nowadays.
I was speaking to Chris at REWorx the other day and just happened to ask as to how much he would value my car at. I am considering getting an M5 as I am getting fat and closer to middle age :)
Chris speculated that the value would be around 6K, this shocked me as the car is very nearly mint with a sub 2000 mile rebuild. Single Turbo with ALL the supporting mods (485 BHP). The suspension, brakes and clutch are all upgraded. Basically its a sorted car (Probably over 20K spent on it). Please tell me that he has seriously low-balling me on the price...

The Gran Tourismo of it\'s day...

I\'m glad things have moved on.

Quote from: iaint;796912I think it\'s operating on the principle that, if the turbo is big enough, it powers itself and you don\'t need an engine.

Doesn\'t that break some Thermodynamics law? :)

FYI its been on Auto Trader a looooong time...

3rd generation RX-7's / Fuel Sock Question.
April 03, 2011, 07:00:04 PM
I have a Bosch 044 fuel pump with swirl pot set up on my car, I believe that the Bosch uses a fuel sock to filter the fuel. How often should the sock be changed?
