UK FD Prices

Is it me or has the price for FDs in the UK really dropped as of late? I know that the economic crisis hasn\'t helped much, however I am still shocked as to how cheap these cars are going for nowadays.
I was speaking to Chris at REWorx the other day and just happened to ask as to how much he would value my car at. I am considering getting an M5 as I am getting fat and closer to middle age
Chris speculated that the value would be around 6K, this shocked me as the car is very nearly mint with a sub 2000 mile rebuild. Single Turbo with ALL the supporting mods (485 BHP). The suspension, brakes and clutch are all upgraded. Basically its a sorted car (Probably over 20K spent on it). Please tell me that he has seriously low-balling me on the price...

sorry dude the market for petrol guzzling jap cars is on its arse.....coupled with a change in attitudes from younger drivers who would normally be buying these cars up to one of wanting to own a RRS or some other chav wagon.

Nothing is selling unless its seriously cheap!....if yours is a uk one put it back to standard and advertise it in europe and it will sell quick time.

This is very depressing news... I\'m afraid that I have done far too much to the car to consider selling it for peanuts. The other suggestion from Chris was parting it out which would break my heart (I know its "just a car"). Can anyone foresee a time when the value might return?

When we\'re all getting paid more for doing less instead of getting paid less for doing more as we all do these days.

You are better off buying an old skool rotary and restoring that and upgrading it as they very rare cars and retain decent money in my eyes, but don\'t do what iv done, it takes too long and costs too much.

I did sell my fd last year for 5500 and it wasn\'t single turbod. So if you hold out you can get better money. I would say a good single turbo car should fetch 7000 minimum

Pictures, Spec and compression test will give a better price guide and the market is always better in Europe!
