2nd generation RX-7's / Last parts need to go!
April 29, 2014, 04:22:03 PM
Hi chaps,

Unfortunately all of the parts listed have to go as I\'m moving house so id rather not let anything go to the scrap yard if possible as I\'d rather see them be re used if possible and not turned into razor blades!

I\'ll be taking offers on everything listed. I\'ve got a box of standard parts, doors , bonnet, exhausts, rebuilt diff etc.

I can deliver to the mainland as I live in the Isle Of Wight for free.

Thanks adam

now looking to break the car now so speak up for any parts your after.

I know ive honestly never had such a hard decision to make and it genuinely breaks my heart to do this but i cant give it what it needs to be good again.
In reality it needs around £1500 injecting to make it road worthy again.

Right I\'m not living in a dream world here but im considering selling up my FC as I\'ve just bought a house and I\'m not sure I can afford the upkeep of it while maintaining my first house!

The Rx currently sits with the engine sat next to it due to a popped water seal and is largely an unfinished project but would be a good base car for someone with the time to make it happen and it\'s not been any easy decision to make. Pictures will follow! I\'d prefer to keep it whole rather than break it as there\'s not many t2\'s left.

General Technical / Should I rebuild it myself???
May 19, 2012, 08:38:29 PM
right here\'s my situation! my FC blew a water seal after 3 years of ownership and I\'ve been quoted a resonable price of £1200 for a rebuild by a well known reputable Rx tuner but I\'m tempted to rebuild it myself with one of the kits available from the states for around £700.00.
So my question is

1. What\'s the best kit available at the moment for a complete rebuild?
2. How difficult is the rebuild?

There\'s infinite info and resources available such as videos offering advice and tutorials and it all seems fairly straight forward! I\'ve done engine work on a lot of marine diesels rebuilds etc but that\'s as far as my experience goes with engines let alone rotarys!

yeah well the plans are get it rebuilt and running and just run the stock turbo into the ground then ill think of something larger as i dont have any plans for big power as im trying to build it to last.....perhaps!

2nd generation RX-7's / Fd diff to FC?
April 08, 2012, 04:55:37 AM
Yeah I\'ve experienced an fd diff which I had in my FC casing etc but that failed I just wondered if all fd type diffs would fit an FC as there\'s a few 2 way and 1.5 way fd diffs for sale but no FC diffs.

But logically if the stock fd diff fits do should an aftermarket model I spose.

2nd generation RX-7's / Fd diff to FC?
April 07, 2012, 11:49:11 PM
Just a Quick one will any clutch type fd diff fit a fc t2 pumpkin and stub shafts?
#14
oh and it\'s currently running a massive fmic!
#15
well I\'ve done all the basic things such as breathing mods and it\'s currently running an re ameya ecu.
I\'m just looking to get it running with the scope of running more power later on.
The only fuelling mods so far are a Walbro 255lph pump stainless braided fuel lines and standard injectors cleaned and tested.
So should in "theory" the car run well enough on that current set up? the only other thing I can think of is as its going to have a mild port is the extra amount of exhaust gass it\'s going to produce so in theory I need to really port the waste gate to get some control over boost levels?
