Well I took the plunge and bought a mk1 eunos roadster.
Don’t think I’ll be chucking a rotary at this stage.
Quick paint job 12 months ticket, enjoy the spring with the roof down and move it along
This thing must one of the remaining few solid ones
I’ll post some pics of the progress

Did you do any repainting before selling on and did you get much use of it with the lockdown?
Supposed todo mobile hairdressing and beard triming but Covid scuppered Jamies business idea!

Yeah it does
Is there lights in there or air scoops ?
Not sure about heaters , very rarely use them I guess .
But they do help keep it cool I guess

Hey Malcolm,
Yes indeed, Was bought at a good price in order to make a few quid.
I know the hairdressing business would never take off, Im not the ideal role model with my upside down head.
I threw £500 at it with paint and lacquer.
Got a bit of use out of it, drives out with Emma. Went on a drive out with the Worcester Car club around Malvern.
Its a cracking little car, the new owner has got a gem that will never need welding. Its in fantastic condition.
With my purchase, the £500 outlay on paint and the sale I've made a nice 37% profit. which if I put my business head on, thats good in my book.
An mx5 that never gonna need welding is like sayng a rx8 is good on fuel lol

Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
It is if you dont drive the RX8 lol
The new owner said to me last night, this thing is so good, Im nervous that theres something wrong with it, its too good.
I said, Im not a trader, Im a car enthusiast, this need to go to a good home to be enjoyed, if youre nervous then walk away and I'll sell to someone else.
......he cottoned on quickly
Hopefully he dont go home take arch liner off and then have a melt down lol.
Welldone!

Hahahaha, i know Kev (previous owner from 2003) never drove it in the rain and it was always garaged.
If you havnt got a page for your 5 jon, keep the posts of updates going, I tried changing the name of the topic to Jons 5 but I couldnt do it.
No worries..its not a rotary..i as just sheltering from the sun..and couldnt resist a pee take..you know me. Lol...

Good name, have you had the cage put in?
I don't think anyone has noticed that my thread name is a play on words from a line in the film Prometheus.
"Big things have small beginning"
Which is also a line from "Lawrence of Arabia"
Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
No im doing it myself..its an ex bdc drift cage.. scratching my head abit..hence dash out..nearly there..and Colin Chapman ethos..ditching weight.
Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
Best thing about a soft top is throwing a cage in is much easier

Dash out is defo recommended.
As regards to heater, it honestly won't save you that much weight, when I pulled all my junk out it just didn't weigh much BUT with taking it out it just makes getting to anything behind the dash soooo much easier, like wiring and obviously because race car.
Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk
Dash weighed nah all but all the grams makes kilos!!
