As some of you will know Mazdarotaryclub (MRC) held a "Mazda Day" for two years with all types of Mazda's attending, but now after virtually a year of negotiations there will be a new name and a new venue for this event.

The "Mazda Fans" Weekend to be held at Mazda UK headquarters across the weekend of the 20-21 May 2017, with Cars and fans attending being invited to attend either a morning or an afternoon session each day.

As with Mazdarotaryclubs Rotorstock events which were held across many years, the event will not be club specific, allowing  a cross section of older, newer, standard and modified selection of Mazda vehicles and enthusiasts to attend.

The event will feature the following:
    The Mazda Heritage fleet
    Mazda related Competitions and prizes
The Mazda range of new cars will be on hand for unaccompanied test-drives.
Food and drink will be available.
    Parking onsite
Most of all great Mazda hospitality
Plus, first and foremost, Mazda fans sharing their Mazda passion through their own Mazda vehicles.
There are limited spaces on each session for this event so places will be available on a first come served basis.

If you attend any other Mazda related clubs or forums please feel free to re-post this, as this event is open to all Mazda enthusiasts.

If you would like to attend please send and email to team@mazdarotaryclub.com , giving your full name, contact email address and Saturday/Sunday preference (if any). Please also state which Rotary model you will be looking to attend with.

There is no charge to attend  :D

Just a heads up that, so far, the most popular session requested by the RX-8 OC and MRC members is Sunday pm. If you want to try and meet up with other members of these clubs (and drool over their cars  ;) ) then that's the session to choose  :D

What a great event you've managed to organise.

Probably one of the best I can remember since joining MRC in 2003.

What a shame I don't own a rotary anymore, even if I did I will be on holiday that week otherwise I'd borrow one  :great:.

I'm sure there will be a comprehensive report with photos so those who don't go can drool........................

We have been asked to explain more about the event.

Quite simply this is a celebration of Mazda owners cars where we all get to see not just our own particular model of Mazda but also other Mazda enthusiasts cars and visa versa, this worked very well at the previous two Mazda days we held with all agreeing that it was refreshing to all share the Mazda passion for each others cars.

This is not an entire weekend event for each person as the limited space will restrict the number of cars being able to attend due to the limited parking area so the weekend will be split into 4 batches of Mazda's , morning/afternoon then repeated on the following day.

With that said there are other places around within a short walking distance should you wish to make a day of it with your fellow enthusiasts.

As said spaces are first come first served and we have got this out first on MRC and the RX80C and invited this to be put out on other Rotary forums because this invite will go out to many many Mazda clubs and dealerships around the UK, so please don't complain if you leave it till the last minute to register your interest .

Hope this helps.

Sorry you won't be able to make this one Jon  :(

Requests to attend are now coming in steadily and I've noticed that we should have at least one of each of the following rare models to drool over:

RX-2
RX-3
RX-4

As well as a pretty full set of RX-7 models and RX-8's  :)

That's in addition to what Mazda themselves manage to put on display in their Heritage Centre!

News just in from Mazda,

The Mazda Fans Weekend will have an original 1985 World Rally Mazda RX-7 attending.

It is believed to be the only complete, fully original and working factory Mazda RX-7 Group B rally car in the world. There are lots of replicas and recreation rally RX-7s, but this is the real deal  8)

^^ Keith, of course you can bring your MX-6 :icon_thumleft:, just send the required details to the email address and you should then receive an invite from Mazda UK in due course. Hope to see you there, if you are able to make it on Sunday pm session.
