After much delay i\'m hoping to fit my new headunit, and speaker system. Question i have for all you tech people is..

..what are the details of the original wires from a 1993 jap import 3rd gen RX7 for the headunit???

I\'ve got the tester thingmabob, but just looking for a head start. The connector block has been removed, so not as easy as simply buying a ISO connector....unfortuately.

Hopefully by the end of the long weekend i\'ll have a new headunit, couple of 8" subs, amp and power cap fitted......

Think this may be right...but not 100% sure

10-wire connector:
==================
Red: Front Right door speaker
White: Front Right door speaker
Blue: Front Left door speaker
Green: Front Left door speaker
Grey/Black stripe: Could not trace - maybe front dash tweeter crossover
Red/Green: Instrument dimmer illumination connector
Green/Red: Aerial (Antenna) power lift feed
Black/Red: Could not trace - maybe front dash tweeter crossover
Blue/Red: 12v permanent supply
Blue/Black: 12v switched supply

5-wire connector:
=================
Yellow/Green: Rear Left speaker
Yellow/Blue: Rear Left speaker
White/Blue: Rear right speaker
Blue/Yellow: Rear right speaker
Beige (light brown): Could not trace

Spade connector
===============
Black: Negative Earth

Antenna connections for diversity system
========================================
Large socket: Main retractable aerial mast
Small socket: Rear window built-in aerial

I just went through putting in a head unit last weekend.

This is what I can confirm as accurate and working on my jap import 92 FD. All of the diagrams etc that I could find were for the american car and beleive me I searched the net for days, the jap one has some different colors and the connector block is a complete mirror image to the american one (japs read right to left top to bottom i guess, or is it just LHD/RHD differences?)

Anyway if it\'s just colors you\'re after try these:

Red: Front Right door speaker (+)
White: Front Right door speaker (-)
Green: Front Left door speaker (+)
Blue: Front Left door speaker (-)
Yellow/Green: Rear Left speaker (+)
Yellow/Blue: Rear Left speaker (-)
White/Blue: Rear right speaker (+)
Blue/Yellow: Rear right speaker (-)
Red/Green: Instrument illumination
Green/Orange: Antenna power
Red/Black: No CLUE!!
Blue/Red: 12v permanent power
Blue/Black: 12v accessory power
Green/Black: Amp Remote

Fat Black Wire: Earth

Do you have the standard system with rear speakers or the bose sound system, the wiring is slightly different ?
