Hi Guys,
Planing my rebuild from the video, Could anyone advise please wether the Oil By Pass Thermostat, is best left alone as it is, or if it is best to disable it as in Bruce Turrentine video, anyone done this it does seem to make sense, but i would appreciate any advice, views from you guys, Also am wondering the same about the oil jets or check valve replacement with webber jets in the Eccentric shaft, any one done this please? or is that mainly for aircraft use?
Cheers Bob

dont know, but i did it and it works fine,  may take a little longer to warm up but you get full pressure as soon as you start the engine.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

The oil bypass thermostat should really be left in there unless you build an extreme engine.(Take that as a race engine)
The same applies to the jets in the eccentric shaft.

Point 1,you want your engine to warm up as soon as possible, this reduces unneccesary wear.
point 2, you want your engine not to get to much oil burning at tickover through the rotors getting over filled by cooling oil.And it is possible to get low oil pressure at idle or low revs, also wears out the engine.

I have run engines both ways and know from experience.

Kind regards
Carl;)
