Halfords by me sell them!

Did you speak to the over qualified Saturday boy who knows lots about nothing?

Other than that, Machine mart.... Car part dealers, they really aren\'t too hard to find.

Tell you what, to save yourself getting out of bed, I\'ll get one of mine, drive to yours, do the job for you and even pay you for the privilege.

How does that sound?:rollin

cool i\'ll try again in a sec as motorworld did know what i was on about & said bout £20 but hadn\'t any in stock......cheers for confirming that thou given the drunken nature of the above posting http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_7_4.gif\' border=0> lol

what do you need to tighten up ? if its anything critical don\'t buy a cheap one, borrow a decent one instead.

scooby_si

it was going to be for tightening the main shock absorber centre top bolt on my tein HA\'s as 2 had come loose unfortunately while i managed to get a torque wrnech in the end for £50 from halfords the entire bolt thing/shock absorber would rotate which reading the instructions you shouldn\'t do so ended up just using a 8 mm spanner to hold the main bolt while tightening the nut with a 14mill spanner, ment it\'s impossible to do the correct setting as it states on the manual but wot\'s a guy to do. Any experts on the HA\'s as i note it also says going past 16th dampness setting can do damage & it seems mine had gone a fair chunk past this as it clicked 22 times before going no further, rears are making a bit of a squdgy noise over bumps now so i\'m dredding there has been some damage done to them.......?
Cheers

PS oops nearly did an entire posts smiley free then lol

stuff like that I tend to do up "tight" which is done by feel alone :D.  the torque wrench only really gets used for important bits like head bolts, clutch pressure plates or anything that needs to be tightened evenly or accurately.

I did all the bolts on the alloys with just a handheld socket set, i guess it depends on how strong you are hey????

I got my torque wrench from Argos. They do some reasonable quality socket sets etc.

Lots cheaper than halfords.
