Hi

When I was sat in traffic today, I had the clutch pressed right the way down and when i released it, the pedal didn\'t come back up, then my revs droped and it stalled. I restarted the car and was able to pull the pedal back up with my foot and carried on to work as normal ( I didn\'t push the clutch all the way to the floor for the rest of the journey, as I was afraid it might happen again).

I had my brake fluid changed the other day( DOT 5.1) and was wondering if this could have anything to do with it, as i heard that the clutch and brakes use the same fluid , also if it needs topping up is it just a case of pouring more in, or do i have to bleed it again?.

Any help is appreciated

FD\'s use one resevoir for the brakes and clutch, if someone didnt know what were doing they may have got air into the clutch line.  Or it just may be a coincidence and you may have a leak in your clutch slave cylinder.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

I had a problem with my clutch - one of the flexible lines sprung a leak and was spraying hydraulic fluid around the engine bay so look for an obviouls leak.

Air in the system does sound like a contender though and pumping the peddle would help with this as it should \'self-bleed\' in that case.

As Ant said, could be a problem with the cylinder thingy - I would assume different from the break one as they\'re separate systems sharing one resevoir.

I dont think it can self bleed, there is no where for the air to go.

I have had this problem lately, the pedal would go spoungy, had the brakes blead twice now and its went away, until the hose finally split and oil out time, so found the air leak eventually. Yes shares cylinder and does not self bleed.
Dont leave it like I did, as you will have no brakes or clutch :(
