My car is up for insurance renewal in mid-November. I have been with Aviva for the last few years and pay about £475 for the year. I figure there must be a way to get that price down further as I don't do much mileage, have 5 years NCB, I'm not young, and the car is technically a classic. It would seem that classic car policies give you the best value but will my 1999 qualify from anyone at all?

Are there any other options or insurers to try?

I tend to insure the car all year because SORN-ing the car over winter doesn't seem like a smart move with the insurers as outside of Aviva I tend to get quotes nearly 2x as high, and Aviva wouldn't be able to quote me sub-£500 if I were to take out a new policy with them.

I also need to get it valued for insurance...

Hello, I figured that this information should be shared across the FD community. If you want to see a comparison against FDs with different setups from a stock 99-spec Bathurst to street ported twins, to wild single turbo setups, and a comparison against each other have a look at the link below.

Afternoon,
I've got an issue where Mazda IDS will not connect after I used mazdaedit.
Has anyone had any success with an obd scanner that's affordable?

A snap on solus ultra connects and works but it's out of my price range.

Has anyone had any success with the launch scanner?

I can't keep asking my neighbour to borrow his work 's snap on scanner

Thanks
Paul
