8374 is now replaced  by the new 8474 which has a bigger wheel with max capability of 950hp but bottom figure is the same so it's basically not working as hard bit more efficient .
Thoughts please as they are same price .
I'm thinking get the newer Improved one ?

Looks good, 68mm compressor wheel.

The one I have got is a 66mm which should be good for 600hp so you defo getting a good sized turbo for a wide range.

Are you bridge porting? I can't remember

1.05 T4 turbine housing? For 450 dollars more.

The new one compared to the older slightly smaller one is only 77 dollars in price so might aswell go for the newer bigger one.

I would email them and ask their advice before purchasing and they will re assure you that you are getting the correct turbo for your different goals

Got decent discount
I said 0.92 twin flange for IWG
Is 1.05 better
I don't have a bloody clue

Internal waste gate will be fine, I remember reading on their testing as people were thinking they wouldn't flow enough gas on a rotary but I think they do

I don't think they're physically any bigger either

Woryh reading, I'd ignore the last bit about porting, especially if your engine is already ported. Lol.

By the sounds of it, with an iwg efr you are going to have to run 14 psi minimum which I rekon is going to to pump out 500whp or possibly more, maybe less

Wondering should I go smaller but the 7470 only reach max 640 hp compared to 8474 which 900
From what I can see it's either t3 WG 0.83 or twinscroll T4 .92 they do IWG

I think a T 3 will be too small for sure, T4 is what most people run due to the size of the runners from the port are roughly the same size of the T4 orifice in the flange

However they do those fancy Tial exhaust housing for some of the turbos but they are more expensive etc

If you measure the surface area of the flange you can work out the diameter of piping you will need for you fanimold

I wrote it down some where in my garage but can't find it lol

I think the exhaust port is actually larger now I think about it but its good to step it down to the T4 size as it helps "spool"

If you read the bumf on turbo source about there cast manifold it has a tapered runner etx

Yeah the manifold I have which needs adaption has the tapered pipe on it when it hits the flange from manifold .
Just checking it's the twin scroll I need

Yeh divided entry is what you need.

A single entry will work but I think they find on the dyno is that divided entry turbos spool 500rpms sooner. Whether or not this is something you would notice driving flat out on a track as you essentially should be keeping the engine running on song with the turbo not requiring spooling lol

But I don't know as I don't drive around a track lol

I have devised a way to clearence my steering  column  to my turbo manifold, it's going to involve a hammer and solid bit of round bar

Funny thing, turbo and header that I have now, purchased it from a friend, they tested different compinations.

They found out that in this setup divided with T3 worked best. Turbo spools up fast and power delivery is smooth.
