N. Quinn / R. Winwood Smith out on a muddy rally stage in the Rx2. Keep an eye on that rev counter!

That go driver is too complicated with notes. I dont understand why he says "turn.. " or "road goes..."

I think you have a point there, Jarno. The famous Australian formality slows them down.  :))

This probably explains why rally cars drove so slowly up until the early 1960s:

—If you don't mind me saying so, Sir, there's a right-hand bend coming up in 600, 400, 200 yards, perhaps you would consider changing down to second gear for that one, Sir. Thank you, sir!

And maybe also why Finns have been so successful in rallying since it starting going faster.

:)) :)) :))

More electronic gadgets means more that can go wrong. Or does it? Even the simplest wiring loom can give you a headache.  ;)
Demonstrated here by the R360 under restoration by Hazure san.

Ookey...

As I have told you guys about kazillion times, there is a girl(woman nowadays) in my town, who rallyed two RX-7 FBs in 80s.

She was, and is my idol, long before I became rotorhead. One of the fastes womans in the world. 11 womans championship titles at Finland, and year 1991 womans world champion, to be exact

First, GR:2 car that history has forgotten allready, and no one knows what happened to it. And its not even important.

But second was Works GR:B car. And I have tryed to get info about that car. We knew that it went to Belgium. There we rumors was that it is pile of crap, and other rumor was that it is been restored.

But today, I heard that car is indeed in Belgium, and its fully restored and in good condition. More than that, now I know that this car was MRTE 0005 chassis number!

Ok, you might not think so much of that info. But I have hunted that info almost two decades!!!

Jarno, do you know if this was one of the genuine works cars that were built in Belgium and if so can you contact the owner ?

I had a phone call from someone asking what the original car colour was. He believed it was Dover White but he is trying to confirm ??.
All the best Clive

Yes, Minna's car was genuine works car! MRTR0005, so its quite early one too.
If i remember correctly, this car was first to came to Scandinavia and first one to private driver

When Minna sold that car, it went to Belgium, and has been there since. To my knowledge, with same owner thru these years

However, there has been several works cars in Belgium, and several replicas, thru these years

Unfortunately, I dont know how to contact that owner. I do know that he is really private, and not so many knows that he has that car
