Nothing like a motivational kick up the hind end from ya loved one.

That’s some pretty artistic stuff there, like Xbox hand controller lol

Projects can be tough going.
The RX-4 looked like this for maybe a year and it was Lisa who said to me to try and get it back together as the guys at Rotarystock would love to see the car finished.  Gave me the kick I needed  :13:

Cheers Jon,

I hope so  :icon_thumleft:

Apart from my RD400 project of turning pistons, barrels, carbs and exhausts back to front........ this has been the most technically challenging.

Looking at what I want to build next, this now seems quite basic.

Always pushing the boundaries of what a "shed built car" can be eh?

So butter up the edges with gel coat, bolt the mould together and pour in the foam.....

Lets hope it comes apart in 1 piece tomorrow

Yeah, we've all been there Jamie. I'm finding it hard to find the time and motivation to get on with KIMI 1. Every now and again I manage to do a small piece of work and thoroughly enjoy it, but it's tough keeping going with so many other demands on my time - and I'm retired, so goodness knows how you manage to do so well! Keep it up, looks great progress from my perspective  :icon_thumleft:

Well, thats a success! .....

Sand all the flashing off around the sides. General once over sanding.

I was expecting some repairs to do, but all thats wrong is its missing a bit of gel goat and you can see the resin. Its all smooth on the surface

Wasnt a easy demoulding, slow n steady wins the race! (Clives thinking does it hell! lol)

Happy with that....

Ill post more more when its mounted on the car

Well its on!

Im actually happy! shock horror........

Little fettling required..... even put a grommet in for the wiring for that professional touch lol.

Nice equal gaps, fitted some rivnuts and bolts so I can play around with different height gurney flaps on the top of the spoiler and theres a little ledge moulded in so the flaps are flush with the face of the spoiler when fitted.

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.
